Mergers & Acquisitions - Covering 60 Jurisdictions Worldwide - Contributing Editor: Casey Cogut
Monday, 06 June 2011
Getting the Deal Through is delighted to publish the fully revised and updated twelfth edition of Mergers & Acquisitions, a volume in our series of annual reports, which provide international analysis in key areas of law and policy for corporate counsel, cross-border legal practitioners and business people.
Mergers & Acquisitions 2011 examines the law and regulation of business combinations and addresses the most important issues for international deals. Cross-border consolidation has been a major force behind, and also a consequence of, the globalisation of the world’s economy. Today the impact of any deal is likely to raise legal issues in several jurisdictions.
Following the format adopted throughout the series, the same key questions are answered by leading practitioners in each of the 60 jurisdictions featured. New jurisdictions this year include Albania, Bermuda, China, Ghana, Malaysia, Morocco and Panama. Global and EU overviews are also provided.
When major corporate deals occur, many legal disciplines come into play. In particular, M&A advisers must take account of competition regulation. This volume contains an appendix covering merger control rules across the world. For a more detailed analysis please refer to another volume of the Getting the Deal Through series: Merger Control.
