The competition team provides merger control related advice from the very transaction planning and due diligence through contracts negotiation up until notification to the competent authority. The practice group also provides legal assistance in the full course of a competition investigation by the competent authorities and during the (possibly) ensuing court proceedings (including legal representation from the time of a dawn raid until the end of the court proceedings including any possible private enforcement proceedings initiated). Oppenheim also assists its clients in legal disputes concerning trademark infringements, unfair competition/passing-off, misleading of consumers, the abuse of significant market power and state aid matters.
