With more than 550 people, including 78 partners and tax principals and 350+ legal and tax professionals, Matheson Ormsby Prentice is Ireland’s largest law firm. The firm’s headquarters are in Dublin, with offices in London, New York and Palo Alto, California. The firm has more than 20 practice groups, many of them cross departmental (and, in several instances, with an industry specific focus), which advise on specialist areas of the law.

The firm’s clients include many Fortune 500, FT Global 500 and FT Euro 500 companies, as well as some of the largest public, private and State owned companies and institutions in Ireland.

In 2010, Matheson Ormsby Prentice was awarded the International Law Office “Client Choice Award” award for Ireland for the fourth time in five years. We were the first Irish law firm to receive the “Client Choice” award for Ireland in 2005.

The firm was also the highest ranked Irish firm for the first half of 2010, according to MergerMarket Financial European League Table, advising on more M&A transactions in Europe than any other Irish law firm.

The firm was awarded “Irish Law Firm of the Year 2009” at the annual Chambers Europe Awards for Excellence. This prestigious award recognised the firm’s pre-eminence across key practice areas, its impressive strategic growth and excellence in client service.
