The Law Bureau «EDAS» was established in 1990, specializes in the field of business law and provides its clients with legal assistance in the following areas: capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, corporate law, taxes and taxation, legal assistance on construction activities and real estate practice, bankruptcy.

Lawyers of our Corporate Practice provide legal support in the following areas:

• Restructuring of companies and holding companies with the aim of increasing their manageability and transparency for investors and of optimising the tax burden;

Antitrust regulation: the main areas in which the Bureau’s lawyers provide legal assistance in this sphere include:

• advising on the merger control regime in Russia; obtaining clearances from antimonopoly bodies;
• representing company interests in disputes over monopolistic actions (abuse of dominant market position, conclusion of agreements or performance of concerted activities prohibited by law);
• representing company interests in disputes over unfair competition (dissemination of false information, misleading of consumers, illegal use of intellectual property and means of individualisation).

The Bureau’s lawyers have considerable experience in merger clearances and representing company interests before the antimonopoly bodies and in arbitration courts in disputes with antimonopoly bodies.

EDAS is one of the few Russian law firms with legal practices covering comprehensive, end-to-end support for initial public offerings and raising of debt finance through the issue of fixed income instruments, from the first issuer presentation through to deal closure.
