Firm Description

The office of Patent Attorneys BARGER, PISO & PARTNER may refer to tradition and experience of more than hundred years.

At the beginning of the 20th century Mr. Urbantschitsch opened a patent law firm which was ultimately continued by his grandson, Eberhard Piso, in 1966.

In 1925 Mr. Mayer – a former employee of Mr. Urbantschitsch – started his own patent law firm, joined by Erich Barger in 1948 who continued it with a partner, Hermann Krick. In 1981 Erich Barger’s son Werner Barger joined the firm.

In 1992 the two above-mentioned patent law firms merged under the name of BARGER, PISO & PARTNER.

At the beginning of the 20th century Mr. Hamburger founded a patent law firm which was continued by his son Walter Hamburger and his grandson Walter Alfred Hamburger. Peter Israiloff joined that law firm in 1969 and continued it after Mr. Walter A. Hamburger’s death.

As of December 1, 1997 the patent attorneys BARGER, PISO & PARTNER took over the Hamburger patent law firm and moved to the latter’s offices. Peter Israiloff joined the firm as a partner. In 1999 the senior partner Hermann Krick, in 2003 the senior partner Erich Barger died.

The office is presently managed by three active partners: Werner Barger, Eberhard Piso and Peter Israiloff.
