The London Court of International Arbitration India (LCIA India) was established on 18 April 2009 in New Delhi. LCIA India is the first independent subsidiary of the London Court of International Arbitration, London (LCIA). LCIA India has been founded as an independent arbitral institution modelled on the same administrative structure as the LCIA and its rules. Though closely modelled on the LCIA (administratively as well as in the rules framed), LCIA India is an independent institution with its own rules and administrative setup. Such constitution differs from the DFIC-LCIA Arbitration Centre, which is the product of a strategic partnership between the Dubai International Finance Centre and the LCIA.
