The M&A market of 2007 seems a long time ago, let alone that of 2006. We wrote last year about the uncertainty that surrounded not just the European, but the worldwide, M&A markets, but few could have predicted the situation in which we find ourselves in 2009 - and not just in terms of M&A, but in the context of a global financial crisis that has gripped economies and markets worldwide.
