Corruption Perceptions Index

The Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI), published annually by Transparency International, measures the perceived level of public-sector corruption in 180 countries and territories around the world. The CPI is a ‘survey of surveys’, based on 13 different expert and business surveys. The table below contains both a ranking and a score. The rank shows how each country compares to others included in the index. The score, out of 10, indicates the perceived level of public-sector corruption in a country or territory. For information on data and methodology please consult the press release and the methodology documentation at www.transparency.org/cpi
