Christian Horstkotte heads the German and Austrian antitrust practice of Baker & McKenzie. He is advising clients on all aspects of German and European antitrust law, focusing on complex German and European merger control proceedings. He also advises companies in preparing and submitting notifications and applications for clearance certificates with respect to control on foreign investment in Germany to the German Federal Ministry of Economy and Technology. In addition, he is experienced in representing well-known companies before German and European competition authorities and courts in cartel cases. Christian Horstkotte also gives compliance trainings on a regular basis and has a broad experience in the assessment of cooperations and distribution systems. His clients include German and international companies, in particular in the automobile, natural resources, mobile telephony, finance, media and logistics industries.
