Avocat à la Cour, Jérémy Bernard is an associate in Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer Antitrust, Competition and Trade group, based in the Paris office. He specializes in EU and French competition law, including merger control, cartels, abuses of dominant position and State aids, as well as in internal market, energy and radio and TV law. His practice encompasses counseling, litigation before the European Commission, EU courts, the French Competition Authority and French court, and transactional matters across an array of industries such as payment cards, energy, video games and consoles, luxury and consumers goods. Jérémy graduated from the Université de Paris II Panthéon-Assas with a Master degree (DEA) in public economic law and from the Université de Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne with a second Master degree (DESS) in public litigation. He was also awarded the diplomas of the Institut d’études politiques de Paris (Sciences Po). Jérémy is a member of the Association Française d’Etude de la Concurrence (AFEC) and of the Association des Sciences Po / Sciences Po Alumines.
