Olasumbo is an associate in the energy and natural resources practice of ǼLEX. She regularly advises clients on issues arising from the acquisition, divestiture and the operation oil and gas assets, and environmental obligations associated with oil and gas projects and operations. She has reviewed, drafted and negotiated various upstream agreements including joint operating agreements and crude lifting agreements, and has advised clients on gas sales and transportation issues. She has also advised on compliance with the Nigeria Oil and Gas Industry Content Development Act.
Olasumbo was a member of the team that advised a major international oil company on the development of its 500MW power project which included the provision of legal advice on commercial and regulatory issues, regulatory interfacing, drafting and renewing commercial agreements. She was also a part of the team that advised the Nigerian Gas Company on the development of a model Gas Transportation Agreement for the domestic gas sector.
She is qualified to practice law in Nigeria and New York. She has an LL.M. from the Cornell Law School, New York and an LL.B. from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-ife, Nigeria.
