Dániel Arányi is an associate with more than five years of experience. He focuses on the energy sector and also has significant experience in media, IT, telecommunications and intellectual property matters.
Prior to joining Weil in 2011, Mr. Arányi spent five years as an associate at another leading international law firm where he was a member of the energy, TMT and intellectual property practice groups and represented a range of Hungarian and international clients. In 2009, he held a position at the Hungarian subsidiary of a large international gas and electricity company on a secondment basis.
Mr. Arányi has advised Hungarian and international clients active in the energy industry in connection with retail as well as wholesale (primarily EFET-based) power purchase agreements, due diligence procedures relating to energy projects and electricity trading companies, and the restructuring of energy companies. He has assisted energy clients in the drafting and negotiation of long-term gas purchase agreements, as well as project agreements relating to power plant developments. Mr. Arányi has also represented clients in negotiations with the Hungarian Energy Office and provided advice in various other regulatory matters, including the mandatory off-take regime and renewable energy projects.
Mr. Arányi is fluent in English and German and proficient in Spanish in addition to his native Hungarian.
