Manuel Alcalde is member of Carey y Cia.’s Tax Group. He advises clients in personal and corporate tax planning, local and international tax consulting and tax litigation.

Mr. Alcalde was a participant of Carey y Cía’s 2005 Autumn Program and during 2007 he worked as a law clerk with the firm’s Litigation Group. In 2009 and 2010 he was assistant professor of Civil Law at the Universidad Católica de Chile School of Law. He is a member of the Chilean Bar Association and of the Chilean Institute of Tax Law.

He studied law at the Universidad Católica de Chile, having spent a semester as an exchange student at the University of Leeds, England. He was admitted to the Bar in 2010. He is currently completing a Masters in Taxation at Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez in Chile.
