P. Sebastian López-Sansón graduated from Harvard Law School (2001-2002) where he was awarded the International Tax Program diploma and a scholarship based on merit and performance. He holds a Masters in Taxation degree from the Universidad de Buenos Aires (2001) and J.D. degree, majored in taxation, Universidad de Buenos Aires, (1996). He also pursued graduate studies in Taxation at the Universidad de Salamanca (1997), Spain.
Mr. López-Sansón is tax partner and co-founder at Salaberren & Lopez Sanson. He has been International Tax Partner with Estudio O’Farrell in Buenos Aires until 2009. He has extensive experience in rendering tax advice on cross-border transactions and international tax planning structures, including the in-depth interpretation and use of double tax treaties. He currently represents both, public and private companies in litigation regarding international tax planning schemes.
Earlier in his career he was with the United Nations DNP (1996-1997). “Value Added Tax” lecturer, “Universidad de Buenos Aires” (1997-2000) and lecturer on the “Latin American Tax Treaty Network”, Northwestern University and Universidad Torcuato Di Tella (UTDT) joint Latin American International Tax Program.
He regularly conducts research on transfer pricing, international taxation and taxation of financial instruments. He has authored articles and book chapters on those fields.
Mr. López-Sansón is a regular speaker at international tax conferences and seminars.
He is a member of the Buenos Aires Bar (1998), Asociación Argentina de Estudios Fiscales (1998), International Fiscal Association (2000), Harvard Club (2002), Harvard Argentine Society (2002) and International Bar Association (2003).
