Jeffrey LIM is a Partner in the Intellectual Property, Media & Technology Practice at WongPartnership LLP. He specialises in intellectual property (“IP”), media, telecommunications and information
technology (“IT”) law (both contentious and non-contentious).
Jeffrey has advised and structured solutions for the full range of IP matters including matters involving cutting-edge IT technology. He has conceptualised, developed, drafted and negotiated transactional documents and solutions for licensing, rights management, technology transfers, IT agreements, joint venture agreements, franchising, outsourcing projects, IP due diligence, and IP and IT asset acquisitions or divestments.
He has also worked with leading music and content aggregator and distributors on the licensing of music and content licensing, and with leading local and international firms on the development of IP and IT asset portfolios. He has also developed and managed regional and global IP rights
enforcement programmes.
He has also practiced in the areas of marketing, product safety, consumer protection, and competition law related matters. Jeffrey graduated from Bristol University, and is admitted to the Singapore Bar and is a Barrister-at-Law of England & Wales. Prior to joining WongPartnership, he was an in-house commercial counsel at a leading US Fortune 500 multinational technology company.
His other appointments preceding his in-house counsel role were as a partner and a director at leading local law firms with top tier technology and IP practices. Jeffrey was also the Singapore Vice-Chairman of the Inter-Pacific Bar Association’s Intellectual Property Committee from 2006 to 2008.
