Anita Birkinshaw is a Senior Associate in Buddle Findlay’s Auckland litigation team. She has wide experience in litigation, arbitration and alternative dispute resolution procedures both in New Zealand and internationally. Anita has an LLM from the Sorbonne University, Paris, France and has worked for leading international law firms in Paris and London.

Anita advises on a broad range of commercial disputes. She has particular experience in the aviation sector and has advised major airlines in New Zealand and overseas in relation to claims made under the Warsaw and Montreal Conventions as well as in relation to issues of contract and consumer law and regulatory compliance. Anita currently acts for a leading international airline in the defence of proceedings brought by the New Zealand competition regulator in relation to alleged price-fixing and cartel conduct.
