Carlos Martins is a graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto, Canada. He is named in the Aviation Section of The International Who’s Who of Business Lawyers and the Institutional Investor’s Guide to the World’s Leading Aviation Lawyers.
Carlos has represented clients before trial and appellate courts in Canada, as well as administrative tribunals such as the Canadian Transportation Agency. In addition, he has significant experience in providing day-to-day advice on local law to foreign air carriers. His activities include obtaining airport access and ancillary services as well as advising on office leases and employment matters. In addition, he has assisted foreign carriers meet all the legal requirements of carrying on business in Canada, including obtaining appropriate licences for own-operation as well as code share services.
Carlos is a regular speaker on aviation law matters at conferences such as the IATA Legal Symposia, the McGill Conference on International Aviation Liability & Insurance and the Insurance Institute of Canada.
Carlos is also the Editor and a contributor to his firm’s monthly newsletter, Transportation Notes.
