Mr. Cheol Hwan Kim is a partner in Yulchon’s IP group. Mr. Kim served as a judge at the Patent Court (2003-2006) and studied at Duke University. Before joining Yulchon in 2008, he served as a Seoul Central District Court Judge in 2007. Mr. Kim also served as a lecturer for Trial Judges at the International Intellectual Property Training Institute (2003-2005) and taught trial decision drafting at the Korean Intellectual Property Tribunal (2005). Mr. Kim has represented numerous major foreign and Korean companies, including Danone Groupe, CJ, LG Electronics, Korea Telecom, Samsung SDS, and GS Caltex, in IP disputes and IP transactions. Mr. Kim has a multi-disciplinary intellectual property practice, including strategic intellectual property counseling and patent litigation. Mr. Kim also has substantial experience in technology transactions and due diligence for mergers and acquisitions.
