Erman Öncel worked in ELİG between 2007 and 2009, starting as an official trainee and continuing as an associate later. Following the completion of his post-graduate studies in 2009, he returned to ELİG as an associate lawyer. Mr Öncel specialises in mergers & acquisitions, general corporate law issues and contract law, representing foreign and local clients in a wide variety of transactions.

He graduated from Istanbul Bilgi University in 2007 and obtained his LLM degree at Columbia Law School in 2010. After passing the New York Bar Examination, Mr Oncel became eligible to be admitted to the New York Bar and he is expected to become a member of the New York Bar Association in late 2011. He is also member of the Istanbul Bar Association.

Mr Öncel is fluent in English.
