Juliana Oliveira Domingues heads the Antitrust Department. She is also specialized in Trade remedies/ International trade (WTO). Mrs. Domingues is Ph.D in Law from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo and has a Master Degree in Law (LL.M. equivalent) from the Federal University of Santa Catarina. She is a Former student of the scholarship program of The Hague Academy of International Law.
As a Member of the Brazilian Institute for Studies on Competition, Consumer Relations and International Trade – IBRAC, Mrs. Domingues was an adviser for a two-years term. She is also a member of the Regulated Sectors Committee–OAB/SP (São Paulo Bar Association), and Member of the Commission on Competition Studies and Economic Regulation-OAB/SP (São Paulo Bar Association).
Mrs Domingues worked in several national and international high-profile antitrust cases, involving several markets (such as gas, pharmaceutical, petrochemical, food, beverages, tubes, pipes, among others). She is national and internationally recognized as a leading lawyer both on antitrust/competition and on international trade, receiving awards and prizes on these areas.
She published several articles and books in Brazil and abroad. She published the first book about the New Brazilian Antitrust Law in the English language: “ANTITRUST LAW IN BRAZIL. FIGHTING CARTELS. Kluwer Law International: The Netherlands, 2011”. Her brazilian book about Antitrust and Cartels won a Brazilian Award of best legal book in 2008. In addition to practicing antitrust and international trade as a lawyer, Mrs. Domingues lectures Economic Law and International Law.
