Martine Guimond is a partner in Gowlings’ Montréal office, specializing in business law, with a particular emphasis on securities, mergers and acquisitions and corporate law. As a member of Gowlings’ Corporate Finance and M&A National Practice Group, Martine has been involved acting for corporate, governmental and municipal issuers and investment dealer firms with respect to public and private offerings. Martine also deals with corporate governance for public corporations, as well as registration and compliance matters. In addition, she offers training to compliance officers, branch managers, mutual funds and insurance representatives. Martine joined the Brussels office of Lafleur Brown, one of Gowlings’ predecessor firms, after having worked for the Commission of the European Union. Martine is a director of a TSX-listed issuer and is a member of its audit committee. Martine is also vice-president of the board of the Québec Investment Funds Council, the Québec division of the Investment Funds Institute of Canada. Martine practises in English and French.
