Jay is currently an articling student at Blakes after having completed his LL.B. at the University of
Alberta. Prior to entering the faculty of law, he attended the University of Lethbridge where he
obtained his B.Mgt. with great distinction (economics).
In law school, Jay was an active volunteer at Student Legal Services where he worked in the
criminal and legal education/outreach programs. He was also active in faculty sports as the
president of the Golden Bearristers Rugby Club and a member of the Tortfeasors intramural hockey
team.
