Jean-Yves Ollier is a partner in the Public and Environmental law group at Allen & Overy LLP’s Paris office. He began his career in 1995 as a member of Conseil d’Etat, the French supreme administrative court. Between 1999 and 2001, Jean-Yves Ollier was deputy head of the trade office of the permanent representation of France to the EU in Brussels and representative to the Energy Charter.
Jean-Yves Ollier is also a member of the French association of energy law (AFDEN). He has an extensive expertise and experience on energy regulatory matters. He represented the French energy regulator (Commission de regulation de l’énergie) before the Paris appeals court in litigations relating to its dispute resolution decisions, in particular on disputes on underground gas storage.
He advises clients on the regulatory, town planning and environmental aspects of large energy projects. As such, he frequently works with the authorities in charge of energy regulation in France: Commission de régulation de l’énergie, Ministry of Ecology, Energy, Sustainable Development and Planning and préfectures.
Jean-Yves Ollier also advises public authorities, contractors and investors on public service concessions.
