Mariana Duarte Garcia de Lacerda practices economic law, with focus on competition and regulation, intellectual property, consumer relations and public biddings. Besides providing consultancy to Brazilian and foreign companies, Mariana acts before the administrative authorities of antitrust and consumer defense, both in merger notifications and in behavior investigations and litigates cases related to her expertise areas.

Mariana has published articles on antitrust and intellectual property.

Enrolled in the Brazilian Bar Association since 2003; member of CECORE (the Committee for Studies on Competition and Regulation of the São Paulo Branch of the Brazilian Bar Association, 2007-09); Coordinator to the Competition and Consumer Law Committee of CESA (the Center of Studies of the Law firms, 2009-…); member of CESA’s Legal Education Committee, 2009-…); assistant at the Brazilian Bar Association’s Ethics Tribunal (2010-…); member of ABPI (the Brazilian Association of Intellectual Property).
