Joana Cianfarani – Partner in the Antitrust practice group at TozziniFreire Advogados. She has worked in complex antitrust cases representing national and international companies in multijurisdictional merger reviews and investigations for anticompetitive practices, having gained vast experience in competition law. Besides having expertise in innovative antitrust matters in Brazil, such as the negotiation of leniency agreements, Joana is also experienced in preparing and implementing antitrust compliance programs for companies of different industry segments and in providing clients with preventive advice from an antitrust perspective. She has worked as an associate at the Competition practice group of Allen & Overy LLP in Brussels and in London. Graduated, in 1999, from the Law School of Universidade de São Paulo (USP), and specialized in Business Administration with emphasis in International Management from Getulio Vargas Foundation (2004), in Economic and Competition Law from the same University (2006), and in Business Management from Business School São Paulo (2007).
