TAY Liam Kheng is a Partner in the Firm’s Corporate/Mergers & Acquisitions Practice. His main areas of practice are mergers and acquisitions and general corporate law. Liam Kheng is also experienced in fund raising and capital markets transactions (initial public offerings and private share placements).
Transactions of significance which Liam Kheng has been involved in include acting as transaction counsel for the voluntary delisting of Eastern Asia Technology Limited from the Singapore Exchange; the controlling shareholders of Bursa Malaysia-listed General Corporation Berhad (“GCB”), on the Singapore law implications of their offer for the entire business and undertakings of GCB, including the mandatory cash offer for all the issued shared in the capital of Low Keng Huat (Singapore) Ltd.; Info Giant Investments Limited in its voluntary conditional cash offer for all the issued shares in the capital of Hongguo International Holdings Limited; Navis Asia Fund V Management Company, Ltd in connection with the voluntary conditional cash offers for all the issued shares in the capital of King’s Safetywear Limited by Safe Step Group Ltd., and for all the issued shares in the capital of Eng Kong Holdings Limited by NEK Container Group Pte. Ltd.; and ATIC International Investment Company LLC, a wholly-owned indirect subsidiary of the Government of Abu Dhabi, in the S$5.6 billion acquisition of Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing Ltd., by way of a scheme of arrangement.
