Michael Hils a partner at BEITEN BURKHARDT in Munich and a member of the firm’s tax practice group. He studied law at the University of Heidelberg where he also earned a doctoral degree (Dr. iur. utr., 2000). He received admission to the Bar in 2001 and has been a certified tax adviser since 2004. Before joining BEITEN BURKHARDT he worked for highly renowned international law firms in Germany, for which he was seconded to London and New York City.
He joined BEITEN BURKHARDT in 2008 and specializes in transaction taxes for national and international mergers and acquisitions, international tax law and the taxes of open and closed-ended funds. Additionally, he advises endowments and other charitable entities with regard to charity tax issues.
