Sebastian Heim is a partner at BEITEN BURKHARDT in Munich. He studied law in Bayreuth, Munich, Passau and London with a particular focus on intellectual property law and earned a Ph.D. from the University of Bayreuth in 2003.

Heim joined BEITEN BURKHARDT in 2006. He specialises in intellectual property related matters and commercial litigation. His client portfolio comprises well-known major domestic and international companies. He is fluent in German and English.

Heim has broad litigation experience in intellectual property matters, including patents, trade marks, trade secrets, design and copyright. He frequently advises German and foreign companies in international technology transfer projects, licensing and R&D-matters.

Heim is a visiting lecturer in business law at the Technical University of Munich. His various publications have a focus on intellectual property and unfair competition law.
