Practice Description
Ms. Gordiyenko has nearly 10 years of experience in acting for international investors and corporations in domestic and cross-border corporate/M&A transactions within and outside of Ukraine. In addition, Olyana’s practice spans the drafting and negotiating of contracts and agreements in Joint Implementation projects under the Kyoto Protocol.
Career
Since October 2001, Olyana has been working as a student intern, and, starting from July 2002, as a paralegal, at the Kyiv Office of Baker & McKenzie. In July 2004 she was promoted to the position of an Associate. Prior to joining Baker & McKenzie, Olyana worked as a legal intern in a number of USAID network donor organizations and as a legal trainee in a Ukrainian law firm. She was made a counsel in 2010.
Education & Bar Admittance
Olyana received her Bachelor’s of Law degree (2002) and Master’s of Law degree (2004) at the Law Department of Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University. She frequently presents at various seminars and conferences on corporate law matters, including structuring M&A deals.

Ms. Gordiyenko regularly contributes to major business and legal publications on legislative developments in Ukraine. She also frequently presents at various seminars and conferences held at the Center of Corporate Governance at the International Institute of Business (IIB).
