Lauren was born in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. She completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Economic and Finance at Ryerson University, Toronto, Canada. During that time Lauren was a Teaching Assistant in the Economics Department at the University and completed her internship at the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO), Vienna, Austria. She continued her schooling at the University of the West Indies where she read for and obtained a Bachelor of Laws degree with honours. She recently completed the Bar examinations at the Hugh Wooding Law School, Trinidad and Tobago where she obtained her Legal Education Certificate and was placed on the Principal's Honor Roll. Lauren joined Chancery Chambers in 2009 as an intern. She is expected to join the Bar Associations of Barbados and St.Vincent and the Grenadines in 2010. She has a keen interest in Corporate and Commercial Law and has experience drafting legal opinions and other legal documents in these fields
