Wang Jihong is the managing partner of V&T Law Firm where she leads the firm’s construction, real estate, infrastructure, and project finance practice. She is the director of the construction law committee of Beijing Lawyers Association.

As a renowned expert, she has worked on subways, railways, bridges, expressways, airports, ports, docks, water plants, sewage treatment plants, power plants and hazardous waste treatment and in the oil and chemical industry, with particular insight and experience in concession projects in the modes of PPP. Representative projects she advised are the globally-recognized- most-difficult-to -design-and-construct project-CCTV New site, the National Indoor Stadium, several stadiums projects of Beijing 2008 Olympics, and the National Museum of China. She also served Chinese top construction companies.

Ms Wang was involved in the drafting and revision of laws and regulations including the construction law, the Provisions on the Management of Construction Market, and the Administration Measures on Joint Venture Railways. She has lectured to mayors in charge of urban construction and senior management of large scale enterprises.

Presiding and co-hearing cases at the CIETAC and other arbitration institutions, she has accumulated rich experience in arbitration. Her book, China Engineering Construction Project Tendering and Bidding Guide, published by CCH, is recognized by a wide audience. Her latest book – Legal Interpretation of Construction Contract (Model Contract) and Cases – came out in 2009 as the first of its kind to interpret the model contract jointly issued by the Ministry of Construction and the State Administration of Industry and Commerce in 1999 on a case-by-case basis.
