Omar is a counsel in our corporate practice and is the Head of the UAE law practice at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. He specialises in public and private M&A, joint ventures, corporate restructurings, arbitration and UAE law across a range of sectors, including real estate, financial services, transport and retail. He joined the firm in 2007 after working for four years for a leading UAE law firm. Omar has advised a number of high-profile international and regional clients on a number of significant matters. Omar received his first degree in law from the University of Jordan and completed his legal education at the University of Aberdeen in the United Kingdom with an LLM in commercial law. Omar is admitted to the Bar Association of Jordan. He speaks Arabic and English.
