De Matteis Studio Legale is headed by Andrea De Matteis (Law Degree University of Florence, Summa cum Laude, 1995 – LLM New York University School of Law, 1996).

Prior to founding De Matteis Studio Legale, Mr. De Matteis was a Partner and Head of the Antitrust Practice of a major Italian firm, a managing associate at Linklaters, an official at the European Commission (DG Competition) and an associate at WilmerHale.

He has represented clients in numerous cases before the Italian Antitrust Authority and the European Commission, including several phase II merger cases. He is active in private litigation in Italy and lectures on antitrust law at the University of Rome La Sapienza and at the University of Rome Tor Vergata.
