Domitille Baizeau is a partner of LALIVE in Geneva. Her main area of practice is international arbitration. She has acted as counsel and arbitrator in numerous international arbitral proceedings, ad hoc (including UNCITRAL) or administered (Swiss Rules, ICC, LCIA, AAA/ICDR), governed by various procedural and substantive laws, including English, Swiss and French. Her areas of specialization include joint venture, M&A, sales and investment disputes in the energy, telecommunications, construction and transport sectors. She is currently ranked by Chambers Europe and Chambers Global for Dispute Resolution (Arbitration) in Switzerland and in The International Who’s Who of Commercial Arbitration. Ms Baizeau is a member of the Arbitration Committee of the Geneva Chamber of Commerce and Industry which administers arbitrations subject to the Swiss Rules of International Arbitration. She has acted as co-chair of ASA below 40 (Swiss Arbitration Association) until 2010 and as co-chair of the LCIA’s Young International Arbitration Group (YIAG) until 2009. She is a member of numerous professional associations and on several panels of arbitrators. Ms Baizeau regularly speaks at conferences and publishes in international arbitration; she is also a member of the Editorial Board of the ASA Bulletin. Ms Baizeau was first admitted as a solicitor and barrister in New Zealand in 1996 and is currently admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales and as an avocate in Geneva. She is English/French bilingual and has a working knowledge of Spanish.
