Harold Chataway is a partner in Gowlings’ Toronto office, practising within the Financial Services and Business Law Groups.
Harold currently concentrates his practice in the areas of senior and subordinated debt finance, private and public equity finance and mergers and acquisitions, in both a domestic and cross-border context. He acts for most of Canada’s schedule 1 banks, a number of other financial institutions and funds and a variety of corporate clients in different industries.
For seven years prior to joining Gowlings in 2000, Harold was a managing director at the wholesale banking arm of one of Canada’s leading financial institutions arranging loans, capital markets financing and mergers and acquisitions financing and advice. In the years prior to that time, he worked at another of Canada’s leading banks and at another investment dealer in various investment and corporate banking roles.
