Philipp Groz is a partner in Schellenberg Wittmer’s Zurich office and member of the Intellectual Property / Information Technology and Dispute Resolution Groups. His main areas of practice include domestic and international commercial litigation and arbitration. He has acted as counsel and co-counsel in a wide array of commercial disputes, particularly in the fields of intellectual property, unfair competition, licensing and distribution. He also regularly advises clients on contractual matters and liability law.
Philipp Groz studied at the law schools of the universities of Fribourg and Zurich, where he graduated in 2001 before gaining admission to the Swiss bar in 2004. He worked as a secretary and later as an associate judge at the District Court of Zurich between 2001 and 2005, the year he joined Schellenberg Wittmer as an associate. He went on to obtain a Master of Laws degree with a concentration on intellectual property from New York University School of Law in 2007. In 2012 he became a partner at Schellenberg Wittmer.
He is a member of several professional associations, including the Swiss and the Zurich Bar Associations, INTA, AIPPI and LES.
