Karen Dyekjær

Karen Dyekjær is practicing law in Copenhagen, specializing in EU law, competition law and life science. She holds an MCJ and an LLM degree from New York University. She has worked for Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton in New York and Brussels and has been an associate professor at the University of Copenhagen. Karen Dyekjær was a partner at the law firm Plesner before joining Lett as a senior counsel. Karen Dyekjær is admitted to the Supreme Court and has extensive litigation experience before Danish Courts as well as the European Court of Justice, and she has represented several pharmaceutical companies in groundbreaking cases on parallel imports and regulatory issues. Karen is a permanent member of the council to the Minister of Justice on civil procedure, a member of a committee appointed to review the Competition Act and for a ten-year period she was the chairman of the Danish Competition Society. Karen Dyekjær is a member of the ECLF. In addition to practising law Karen Dyekjær currently teaches life science law at the Southern Danish University, and acts as a censor at the University of Copenhagen. Karen Dyekjær is a frequent speaker and has published several scientific papers on EU law, competition law and other matters. Most recent publication: Life science law (in Danish).
