Lorena Pavic is a partner of Carey y Cía.’s Corporate / Mergers & Acquisitions / Antitrust Group. Her practice focuses on commercial law, corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, investments and antitrust. Ms. Pavic was Assistant Professor of Civil Law at the Universidad de Chile Law School during 1998 and 1999 and Assistant Professor of Legal Clinics at the Department for Clinical Legal Education, from 1994 through 1995. She presently teaches Antitrust Law in the LL.M Executive graduate program at Universidad del Desarrollo, Santiago, Chile and is an invited Professor of Antitrust Law at the Universidad de Chile for the Master in Law in Comparative and International Contracting. In 2002, she co-authored “Preventive Control of Mergers and Acquisitions in the Face of Antitrust Legislation,” in Revista Chilena de Derecho, published by Universidad Católica de Chile. She also coauthored an article on antitrust regulation progress in Chile, for the American Bar Association, International Antitrust Committee, “2005 Year in Review”. Ms. Pavic studied law at Universidad de Chile and was admitted to the Bar in 1999 with maximum distinction. In 2009 she obtained a Diploma in Regulation and Competition at the Universidad de Chile, Economic Department. She is also a member of the Center for Antitrust Studies at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
