Wolf von Rechenberg is attorney at law (1982) and qualified tax advisor (1986). He is a partner with CMS Hasche Sigle since 1992. After working in New York (with Carter, Ledyard & Milburn, 1989-1990) he started the Berlin office of the firm in 1990. He studied law and economics at the Universities of Göttingen, Lausanne (Switzerland) and Freiburg i.Br. where he earned his doctorate (s.c.l.) in 1984.
Wolf von Rechenberg is the head of the CMS Hasche Sigle Tax Practice Group and a member of the management team of the CMS International Tax Group. His main practice areas are taxation in connection with Mergers & Acquisitions as well as Taxation of international restructuring projects where he focuses more specifically on German, EU and international tax law.
He teaches restructuring law at the Humboldt-University (Berlin). He has published several books and numerous articles and is frequently speaking in national and international conferences on tax lax and corporate law issues. He presently serves as an officer in the IBA Tax Committee. He is a native German speaker, fluent in English and speaks French.
