Graham Stuart joined Baker & McKenzie in January 2008. He has extensive carbon markets experience from origination through to distribution. He has advised carbon funds, investment banks, carbon credit aggregators and compliance buyers on emission reduction projects (both under the Kyoto Protocol’s project mechanisms and in the voluntary sector), secondary market trading operations, carbon-driven equity investments, structured carbon transactions and the EU Emissions Trading Scheme. In the environmental area Graham has worked on a broad spectrum of UK, EU and international environmental law for clients in a diverse range of business sectors including oil and gas, power, manufacturing and industrial, ports, aviation and land regeneration. He has advised in connection with regulatory matters and the assessment and management of environmental risk in complex multi-jurisdictional mergers, acquisitions and financing transactions.
