Alexandra Stockwell is an associate in Stikeman Elliott’s Ottawa office. She practises in the areas of intellectual property (with an emphasis on trade-mark and copyright matters), marketing and advertising, administrative/regulatory matters, and competition law (with an emphasis on the IP/antitrust interface and merger review).

Ms. Stockwell has experience in IP prosecution and litigation, co-existence and licensing agreements, domestic and international transfers of intellectual property rights, and advising on intellectual property aspects of corporate transactions. Ms. Stockwell also advises on information technology matters, promotional contests (including contest rules and advertising), consumer products and food labelling, and advertising (including comparative advertising and compliance with Advertising Standards Canada requirements). Ms. Stockwell authors various publications on intellectual property topics. She is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and was called to the Ontario bar in 2008.
