Fabio Ferraro received his Law Degree cum laude from the University of Naples in 1996 and was admitted to practice before the Italian courts in 1999. He is a Professor of EU Law at the University of Naples and member of the Academic Board of PhDs in EU Competition Law and the Law of the Internal Market.
Fabio has built up significant expertise in all fields of domestic and EC competition law, (concentrations, cartel cases, abuse of dominant position, services of general economic interest and State aid, vertical and horizontal restraint). He practices in EU law, Italian administrative law and also in cases involving the European convention for the protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms. He has led the defence of undertakings in cartel cases and in jurisdictional proceedings before the European Commission, the Court of Justice and the Italian authorities. He was National expert for the European Media Recht Institute on a study on the implementation in Italy of the Television Without Frontiers Directive (2005).
He is the author of several publications on European Law (concerning, in particular, competition law, State aid and State liability for breach of EC law) and a frequent speaker at legal conferences.
