Sandra Gore is a senior associate at Bowman Gilfillan and a member of the Energy and Environment, Natural Resources and Climate Change practice area. She practices primarily in energy, regulatory and environmental law.
She completed a Masters Degree in International Law, with courses in environmental law, international economic law, sustainable development and developmental law. Her research focused on sustainable development in Africa, which she has a keen interest in.
Sandra specialises in a wide range of energy and environmental law issues and has extensive knowledge on local legislation and the relevant international and regional conventions.
She has provided advice to renewable energy companies and lenders on environmental and regulatory aspects relating to several types of renewable energy projects.
Sandra furnishes advice on carbon emission reduction issues (such as CDMs and carbon emission reduction agreements) and has published articles on carbon trading in South Africa. She has presented several seminars on the South African Government’s approach to climate change.
