Avocat à la Cour and admitted to the New York Bar, Alexandra is a senior associate in Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer’s dispute resolution group. She graduated from the University of Paris II Panthéon-Assas (post-graduate degree in private law), from the University Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne (post-graduate degree in English and American business law), and also from Columbia University School of Law (LL.M). Prior to joining our team, Alexandra worked for more than two years in a well-known New York law firm.

Alexandra specialises in international commercial litigation and insolvency proceedings. She teaches Insolvency Law at the law school of the Institut d’Etudes Politiques (IEP) in Paris.

Alexandra’s recent restructuring experience includes advising:

  • Bondholders in the Belvedere safeguard and reorganization proceedings;
  • Senior lenders in connection with the out-of-court restructuring of a French based retail group specialized in decoration and design; and
  • Nomura in relation to the acquisition of Lehman Brothers’ investment banking business in France.
