Jennifer McKay is a partner in Gowlings’ Ottawa office, practising in the area of
intellectual property law.
Jennifer has extensive expertise in the prosecution of trade-mark applications,
registrability opinions, licensing, transfers of intellectual property, domain name issues, trade-mark oppositions, summary cancellation proceedings and litigation. She services a variety of international clients with respect to the protection and enforcement of trade-mark rights in Canada and around the world.
Jennifer has practised exclusively intellectual property law, primarily in the area of trade marks and has had significant experience with the Canadian Intellectual Property Office, including a period as deputy director of the Trade-marks Branch and as a hearing officer on the Trade-marks Opposition Board.
