Etsuko Hara is a partner at Anderson Mōri & Tomotsune with broad experience in the areas of franchising, cross border distribution, antitrust, corporate transactions including mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures, and general corporate. In the area of franchising, she is continuously advising international and domestic franchise businesses with regard to various issues, e.g. how to start a franchise business in Japan, disclosure requirements, franchise and sub-franchise agreements, day-to-day operation issues, and dispute resolution. She is a graduate of Columbia Law School (LL.M.) and The University of Tokyo (LL.B., 1998). She was admitted as a lawyer in Japan in 2001 and in New York in 2007.
