Philip Colman has been practising law for more than 30 years. Throughout his career, his focus has been on assisting business representatives involved in disputes, court proceedings and arbitrations, with an emphasis on franchising disputes and litigation, competition law and insolvency matters. As a highly skilled and experienced litigator, Philip’s approach to any matter is to gain a full understanding of all relevant facts then provide both a legal and commercial strategy aimed at and maximising the return for the client. He has successfully handled a number of landmark franchising cases and regularly attends international legal symposia to broaden his knowledge. Philip Colman was one of the first lawyers to be granted Accredited Specialist in Commercial Litigation status by the Law Institute of Victoria and is currently the Chairman of the Institute’s Commercial Litigation Advisory Committee. In addition, Philip is a Member of the Franchising Code of Conduct Mediator Panel.
