Sergey Seliverstov is a Bachelor (diploma with honour) of the International law department of Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) and a Master of Laws (diploma with honour and Gold Medal) of the European Law Institute of MGIMO. Sergey has been with «Sokolov, Maslov & Partners» since 2003. He deals with a wide range of matters of private international law, Russian transport and energy law. His main activity consists in complex legal services in business projects, including direct foreign investments, shipping, aviation, oil and gas sectors requiring individual approach and combined economic and legal analysis. Sergey represents clients with the Russian public authorities, interests in court and enforcement proceedings.
In October 2006 Sergey has been given the PhD in Law degree by MGIMO. At present he is the Associate Professor at MGIMO and is frequently lecturing in the international conferences on the energy topics. Sergey is the author of a number of research publications in Russian and in English in the field of Russian and international energy and transport law, including the book titled «Energy Security of the European Union: International Legal Aspects». After being Visiting Fellow to the Clare Hall College (Cambridge University) in 2005 - 2006 Sergey was elected the Life Member of the College.
