Anna Arkhipova graduated with honours from the department of international law of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO). She has worked with Sokolov Maslov & Partners since 1998. She deals with a wide range of maritime law issues which include marine insurance, shipbuilding, ship registration etc., and with various aspects of aviation law. Anna also handles cases involving non-marine insurance and general commercial law issues.

Anna is an advocate and a member of the Moscow chamber of advocates. A significant part of her work is devoted to handling court and arbitration cases, enforcing judgments and awards. She represents clients in a number of bankruptcy cases. She has been advising on a number of oil and gas issues.

In 2008 Anna Arkhipova obtained a PhD (Law) degree. Her thesis was on one of the aspects of marine insurance. For several years she has been teaching law at MGIMO. Anna is an author of more than ten publications on insurance and maritime law issues.

Anna is a frequent speaker at maritime law conferences and seminars. She speaks English and French.
