Carole Sportes graduated in law from the University of Montpellier in 1993. She also obtained a post-graduate degree from the Business Law School of Montpellier in 1994.
She then qualified as an Avocat in 1995 and began to work in the corporate department of Price Waterhouse Juridique et Fiscal, Paris.
In 1998, she joined the Litigation and Insurance department of Norton Rose Paris where she developed an extensive experience in product liability and aviation. She also practised insurance/reinsurance business and commercial litigation.
In 2004, with three former partners of the Litigation and Insurance department of Norton Rose Paris, she founded BOPS a new boutique law firm.
Carole Sportes focuses her practice on international litigation, aviation, product liability and insurance related matters.
Carole actively contributes to current debates on aviation law and product liability. She is the French correspondent for Getting the Deal Through for Air Transportation and regularly publishes updates on French insurance law for International Law Office.
Carole has joined International Law Referral in June 2010 as the exclusive Aviation Law member for France.

Sharm El Cheick accident – January 2004: representing Flash Airlines, its insurers and reinsurers (148 fatalities, 650 claims) before the French courts
The Airbus A 320 crash in Perpignan – November 2008: representing Air New Zealand in the current judicial investigations and criminal proceedings
Advising and representing on a regular basis airline companies in litigations and negotiations relating to passengers/cargo claims :
Representing helicopter operators referred by international network.
Acting in the field of the general aviation and assisting companies operating private jets in their negotiations or litigations whether relating to commercial or civil liability matters.
